Explore the live Asteroid Field surrounding Aetheris: pieces of its crust, blown into orbit when the PSN collapsed, some still holding shards of the planet's core. Anyone can browse every sector and see every scan result; bring a scanner online to deep-scan asteroids for Core Fragments, claim what you find before anyone else, or broadcast it to the network.

    SWEEP THE FIELD

    50,000 pieces of Aetheris crust orbit the planet. 1 in 5 still holds one of 10,000 Core Fragments, which socket into Aetheris plots to boost refining and extraction. Pick a rock and deep-scan it.

You see a fragment's rarity before you choose to claim it. The Core Fragment is never claimed for a fee: it goes to auction. Fragments were placed at random before the field opened and never move. Any scan can be dead rock, and a 50-scan pack can find fewer or more than 10 fragments.
